Just Shut Up!

I was just listening to Terrell Owens claim that he is being mistreated by the Eagles. What is going on here? What a great example of the attitude that is now prevelant in society. T.O. claims that he is being underpaid in his job. Well maybe by NFL standards he is, but please I mean he will get $12 million for the two years. I would gladly take that for two years worth of work. I mean that has to be in the top 1% of American workers. He says that he put his life on the line by coming back from his injury and playing in the Super Bowl. Come on! I mean policemen and firemen and soldiers put their lives on the line everyday and a huge percent of them never even get close to the pay that Owens makes. This is not life and death. Owens signed a contract for 7 years and $49 million contract last year when he forced the trade to the Eagles. So now he lives up to what he is suppose to do and he wants a contract adjustment to pay him more. I just don't understand. If I do my job I don't ask for a pay increase because of that (I do get a raise if the money is there). He claims that the Eagles could cut him, but tthat is a ridiculous argument. If he is good, he will not get cut and if he does get cut, someone would surely pick him up. He would not have to worry about a job. So this is a fear that is not real. Plus if he was smart and invested his money wisely he should never have to work again, nor his children. In today's society we expect to be given more if we do the job we are suppose to but claim some fault of someone else's if we fail. And if we get fired we claim that there was a bias against us that caused us to lose our job. You know that I work on a year to year basis. If I do my job, I get my money and if I do not do my job I get fired. Same at T.O. except not anywhere near the money he makes. And if I hear one more athlete claim that he is doing this to feed his family or take care of their family I am going to scream. I mean my parents made nowhere near what he does and yet they took care fo their family perfectly well. So to T.O. and any other athlete who claims they are underpaid, or mistreated, shut up and be a man and live up to the contract you signed.
